The FEIGER HEALTH RESEARCH CENTER (FHRC) is a privately owned research facility in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. FHRC was founded in 1982 by Alan Feiger, M.D. Dr. Feiger was motivated by his desire to see more effective medications for the treatment of depression become available to the public. This can only happen by testing the new [investigational] medications on human subjects, in so-called Clinical Trials. Over the past twenty years many medications tested at FHRC have been approved by the FDA and now are available throughout the United States and the world.
Currently the focus of study at FHRC is Major Depression (MDD). This is a brain chemical disorder in which the functioning of the brain is upset when certain chemical substances are out of balance. Medications for the treatment of depression function to restore that balance to normal.
While no guarantees regarding outcome can be made to volunteers who register for our studies, we at FHRC promise to approach each individual with caring and the offer of hope.
